Systems That Feel Alive: How I Actually Build Ops for Small Teams

I didn't start with a degree or a framework. I started self-taught, building systems out of necessity — first for myself, during a period where I needed structure just to function, then for other people who recognized the same need.

That origin shapes how I build now. I don't design for an org chart. I design for the actual humans who'll open the tool every day, tired, distracted, with fifteen other things pulling at them.

A system "feels alive" when it meets people where they already are — instead of demanding they change their behavior to fit the tool. That means fewer mandatory fields, more automation doing the boring parts, and Notion, AI, and workflow tools (Make, n8n, Claude) working together instead of existing as five disconnected apps.

The goal was never "more organized." The goal was always: less time managing the tool, more time doing the actual work — or living the actual life.

That's still the only metric I care about when I build.
